and as instructed by the Driver Supervisor (Porirua/Newlands), the
Lead Driver (Paraparaumu) and the Company Inspector, lawfully, with
due care for the vehicle and for the safety and comfort of the passengers,
and for projecting a positive and professional image of Mana Coach
Services Ltd and Newlands Coach Services Limited.
Seeking Permanent Part-time Drivers
We seek experienced customer focused driving staff, to join their
team on a permanent part-time basis at their Newlands depot.
Assistance with gaining your P endorsement licence is available.
The Successful Candidates will
- Hold a current P endorsement, class 4 licence
- Possess a high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Be reliable, responsible and trustworthy
- Be well presented
- Be available to work shift work over seven days

Driving Duties
- To perform driving tasks as rostered.
- Sell tickets and carry passengers as instructed.
- Wear the company uniform correctly.
- Be courteous, friendly and helpful to all passengers.
- Carry driver incident reports and charter manuals and correct
shift cards.
- Carry and turn on radio telephone.
Vehicle Duties
- Ensure vehicle is road worthy and lawful eg: RUC, COF, fire
extinguishers.
- Check and maintain fuel, oil and water levels daily.
- Prevent damage to company vehicles.
- Wet mop floor daily.
Reporting Duties
- Report all accidents and all vehicle faults as required.
- Report all incidents - stroppy passengers, road works, empty
bus, suggestions, on the drivers incident report.
- Record hubodometer reading correctly as required.
- Clear the drivers card daily.
- Maintain float levels, and place all other money in the till
through the safe at the end of the shift.
- Complete wages book as required.
- Read notice boards, staff bulletin and MCS newsletter.
- Attend staff meeting as required.
- Perform other duties as instructed.
Hours - As required by shifts or specials
Conditions of Employment - As per the MCS Collective Employment
Contract
The driver will be held personally liable for any legal infringements
committed while driving company vehicles.
