Located in Porirua - Aotea lagoon has great park facilities. Enjoy
a ride around the park in the train for children.
Battle Hill Farm Forest park
A long established working farm, it is also the historic site of
the 1846 conflict between Crown forces and local Maori. It
is located some 6km from Pauatahanui along Paekakariki Hill Road.
Ideal for group events, festivals and outings.

Regional Park
The ideal place for horse riding, cross country running and mountain

Foreman Jury Road
How about picnicking after a trip to the Wairarapa?
The later part of Foreman Jury Road runs alongside the Ruamahung
river, offering access to many great swimming spots. The road travels
through farmland. There are plenty of trees to picnic under.
MacLean Park
Situated on the beach front of Paraparaumu beach, there are stunning
views of Kapiti Island and is a handy location to the Paraparaumu
Beach shopping precinct.
MacLean Park is the ideal centre for a fun day at the beach for
the whole family and friends.

Otaihanga Park
Otaihanga Park is ideal for groups wanting to picnic and have a
fun day out with family and friends. You could hold some fun
games for the team - a great way to break the ice within a group.
A lovely park set next to the Waikanae River offering great recreational
areas, picnic facilities and swimming areas.

Otari Bush
Come any day and walk down the newly created Canopy Walkway, explore
the valley with tree ferns and rata, rimu and rewarewa. Listen
to the calls of native birds such as the tui and bellbird.
The Troup picnic area and Wilton Bush Road picnic area are ideal
if you and your group would like to take a packed lunch.
Queen Elizabeth Park

Located between Paekakariki and Raumati South, this is an ideal
place for group events and outings. Enjoy a game on the beach
or a walk through the sand dunes.
The southern entrance to the park is a 1.5km walk from Paekakariki
Railway Station. You can also enter at MacKays crossing on
SH1 south of Paraparaumu.
